A Pattaya discotheque has been ordered to close for 10 days after a Thai woman fellated a South Korean man in full view of other customers early Monday morning. Pictures of the act were quickly circulated on Facebook and other online social networks.

Police, soldiers and local officials inspected 808 First Class Clubbing on Walking Street in Pattaya, after hearing of the incident.

One offcial said the night club had responded appropriately, and a security guard had asked the pair to leave the premises immediately.

Police claimed the incident had tarnished the image of Pattaya, and they were tracking down the two people involved, who were likely to face charges of public indecency. Of course in reality the incident has reinforced the fun filled image of Pattaya.

Bang Lamung district authorities ordered the closure of 808 First Class Clubbing for 10 days. District chief Chakorn said he had also ordered legal action against the discotheque for violating the Entertainment Places Act.

Pol Col Sukthat Pumpunmuang, chief of Pattaya tourist police said he believed the woman might be a sex worker.

Club 6 has opened on Soi 6 taking over at the venues that was previously Hole in One. The bar opened on 6th June.

It is located about a third of the way down from 2nd Rd going towards the beach. Perhaps towards the lady boy block of the street, but there are no lady boys in Club 6.

I guess that about a third of all Dark Side bars employ ladyboys (usually one or two).

I have never understood the rationale (if any) behind such a business decision. I have no problem with ladyboys per se, but I think it would be better to have specialised ladyboy gogos and bars.

A new coyote bar is getting ready on Soi LK Metro at the venue that was previously Funhouse A-GoGo at the corner with Soi Buakhao.

The same venue once was quite a hit as a coyote bar named Club BLU but it ultimately failed as interest waned.

Coyote bars do not have a good track record in Pattaya as there is a clearly a sizeable amount of bar goers who prefer less clothes in a GoGo. Perhaps it would have been better to follow the well worn route of advertising as a GoGo, and then only having coyotes. At least it gets the refuseniks in for at least one look.

Anyway the bar is set to open on 9th July with a promise of food and special prices until the 11th July.

Gentlemen's Club on Soi Diamond has indeed reopened.

At first sight the interior has remained unchanged.

A quota of 80% coyotes seems to be becoming a bad habit at re-openings of second-rate and third-rate gogos.

There was a team of 6 or 7 dancers in black string bikinis, who towards the end of their dance stint took of their tops. Several of them were wearing black transparent camisoles; only one could be considered as above average.

There were also two teams of about 12 sub average coyotes clad in white. Most of them were wearing double and triple tops and bottoms. Some very huge tops, some white camisoles and even some white T-shirts.

There were two or three other customers, but when I left I appeared to be the last one.

Bottled Heineken 150 baht, Corona 200 baht, lady drinks 140 baht, model showgirl drinks 180 baht.

Update: News from Soi Diamond

On the door next to The Windmill Club A-GoGo, where the stairs to Tramps A-GoGo used to be, is a big sign in Thai language.

When I was dining across the soi at Swiss Food, one of my favourite restaurants, I saw a couple leaving The Windmill Club and entering that door next to it. I am wondering now if there are ST rooms at the previous location of Tramps or if there are plans to revive Tramps as a gogo.

Swiss House restaurant on Soi Diamond (not to be confused with Swiss Food on the same soi) has been closed since the beginning of June 2015 and the furniture has disappeared. At the window is a sign now FOR RENT/SALE .

Gentlemen's Club has re-opened on Soi Diamond under new management.

Early reports suggest that the bar is pretty much the same as before.

So there are now 79 bars operating around Pattaya with Thai girls dancing in bikinis or less.

On Soi Diamond, at the previous location of Dream Club A-GoGo and Carousel A-GoGo, Maxine's Club A-GoGo has opened.

The interior has remained unchanged, apart from a complex chrome pole structure on the square stage.

The lighting was fine, but the music was a disaster.

There were many "girls", but the average quality was very poor, even compared to other recent openings. There are just way to many "gogos" in Pattaya en by far not enough "talent" to fill them.

More than 80 % of the dancers at Maxine's Club A-GoGo were "coyotes", some of them with a transparent camisole over their outfit. I also saw some dancers in bikinis with transparent négligés and transparent camisoles.

The dancers went on stage in teams of eight to ten.

I was told that the bikini dancers would drop their tops on stage, but when a third team of coyotes went on stage I could not be arsed to stay any longer.

Barfine was 1,000 baht with even the ugliest "girls" expecting 2,000 baht ST and 3,000 baht LT.

Among the waitresses were some tomboys; also some male waiters. There were lots of staff, but hardly some customers and they did not stay long.

BEWARE: lady drinks 200 baht.

BEWARE: automatic tipping, small change is not returned.

Usually I tip, but I hate it when they take it for granted: it should be MY decision, not THEIRS.

Bottled Heineken 145 baht, no (promotion for) draught beer.

Correction: Note that a previous version of the review suggested that the bar was associated with Sweethearts A-GoGo. This is not the case, there is no such connection.

Maxine's Club A-GoGo has opened at the Soi Diamond venue that was previously DReam Club. The new bar opened on the 8th June.

So the GoGo count increases to 78 bars around Pattaya with Thai girls dancing in bikinis or less.

I popped into Super Girl Friday night,

There were Bikini, topless and nude Dancers ,all of them Attractive,

There were 4 Girls from Spicy Girls and 2 from Living Dolls one, both ago-go's closed at the moment,

There was lots of interaction between Girls and Punters, Girls shaking their beautiful bums in your face and more. In fact I ran out of 20's.

Short time is 1500 baht.

Definitely one for a good evening out.

Apparently Spicy Girls has gone bust, the Girls were not paid last month.

Living Dolls One is shut for refurbishment for 1 month, which seems a long time?

In Pattaya it is extremely quiet now.

At least half of the people on Walking Street now are flocks strolling behind a guide with a flag.

Not many traditional punters if you ask me.

Living Dolls 1 A-GoGo on Walking Street opposite Happy A-GoGo has closed and it looks as if the builders are in.

Believe it or not, I have been told that Dream Club A-GoGo on Soi Diamond will reopen on Monday 8th June 2015.

The rumour has resurfaced that Champagne A-GoGo and Club Malibu on Soi LK Metro are going to become one mega gogo.

Las Vegas II GoGo on Soi Yamato (Soi 13/1) has reopened.

I was told that they have been closed during one week for refurbishments, but I noticed not the slightest change.

In the toilets was still a sign for sale (in English) with a telephone number. On the floor of the toilets was an empty Cialis blister, but this is Pattaya.

At my visit there were about ten girls for three customers and two of them were on stage at any time.

A skinny one with horrible stretch marks was fully naked and an old balding one was topless in a transparent white skirt without pants. All the other ones were overdressed in white bikinis, some of them with black underwear. To say the truth, all girls were at least below average.

As usual there was no mamasan to be seen, which, by me, is not necessarily a bad thing.

Bottled Heineken is still 110 baht and they still offer a stapled lottery ticket with every drink.

The Las Vegas News counteracts the temporary closure of New Living Dolls so the GoGo count stays at 77.

Oscars GoGo on Soi LK Metro closed at the end of May. The closure is permanent, at least until somebody else gives it a go.

The GoGo had been operating since December 2013.

The Pattaya GoGo count has now dropped to 77.

Las Vegas II GoGo on Soi Yamato (Soi 13/1) is closed for renovation. The Staff have been transferred to Las Vegas III GoGo, also on Soi Yamato (Soi 13/1).

So there are now 78 bars listed as GoGos in the Pattaya area.

Anna's Angels Bar on Soi Khao Talo has been closed for a while and is now for rent.

Also Angel Bar Beer on Soi Khao Noi and Black Angels Bar on Soi Lablae appear to have closed.

Michel Happy Bar on Soi Khao Noi Soi 9 has become Nok & Nok Happy Bar.

La Guinguette

La Guinguette on the corner of Soi Siam Country Club Soi 27 and sub-soi 12 has been reopened, once again by an old, fat, single Thai lady.

There were four girls: two oldies, a 21-year-old fatty and a 25-year-old newbie, Cherry.

Cherry had started there two days ago and probably still possessed her cherry. She was extremely shy, did not go with customers and even jumped away when you only pointed at her.

I am curious how long this incarnation of La Guinguette will last.

Mac's Bar

Mac's Bar on Soi Lablae now has an arrangement with the nearby 24 Hr. motel. A ST 400-baht barfine now includes a 200-baht room at the said motel.

There were a number of average girls now, late twenties and thirties, and also some ladyboys.

SkyFall A-GoGo at the beach end of Walking Street did indeed re-open on 17th May.

It was closed by police for 30 days after a particularly thuggish attack by the bars bouncers.

There are now 79 GoGos around Pattaya.

Spicy Girls A-GoGo has gone dark at the Walking Street venue above Champion A-GoGo. The bar has been trying its luck at the upstairs venue since September 2014, but it is a tough location and the GoGo now looks to be closed.

So the GoGo count now dips to 78.

Welkom Inn was a hotel with an afternoon bar in the grounds on Pattaya Soi 3.

It has now been closed and the demolition gang are at work.

The bar is a long running afternoon bar that set the scene for the modern gentlemen's clubs.

The bar was also referred to as the Belgian Embassy.

The closure of the Welkom Inn on Soi 3 (car park access from Soi 2) is a shock to all it's customers. I rated it as one of the most pleasant in Pattaya.

There was a time when Pat's Pies had a restaurant almost opposite. You could order your takeaways and then spend a very relaxing time in the bar not to mention the swimming pool.

A couple of beers in the garden bar and then a short time (room 150 Baht) The staff were all experts and not expensive. I made some good friends (Nok, Dow, etc.) There were times I was so weak-kneed after the treatment, I had to get the girl to collect my takeaways.

Tiger Club is located in Soi Diamond but is accessed from stairs off Walking Street.

The GoGo has now re-opened as a tom bar featuring lesbian dancers entertaining Thai and farang lady customers. I am not sure if there are any restrictions on male customers.

And I am also not sure whether such a bar should be included in the GoGo count.

Gentlemen's Club on Soi Diamond has gone dark and the closure seems permanent.

Soi Diamond seems to suffering a little of late with 3 dark bars, namely Gentlemen's Club, Diamond A-GoGo and Dream Club.

There are currently 79 GoGos around Pattaya. However there seem to be signs of life at Eclipse on Walking Street so maybe the count will increase back to 80.

Club Electric Blue will return to Pattaya and take over from Private Dancer on 1st May 2015.

Several years ago Electric Blue had 2 venues in Pattaya. The First and largest venue was at the venue best known in recent times as Roxy. There was also a small venue in Soi Diamond known as Electric Blue Junior.

And there was plenty of fun to be had in both GoGos, with a style that was the forerunner of Windmill and Babydolls.

Private Dance has now closed and Ricky has said his goodbyes.

The bar will re-open as Club Electric Blue on 1st May 2015.

Club Electric Blue opened on 2nd May as promised although first day reviewers reported that it is more coyote than GoGo.

Amethyst Club is a show bar on Soi LM Metro was dark and padlocked for a night. No news of a particular reason so maybe a temporary blip.

It turned out to be a private celebration and the bar is set to re-open after 2 days off.

Upstairs A-GoGo towrads the south end of Walking Street has introduced the cheapest beer in any of Pattaya's GoGos. Happy Hour draft is now 39 Baht. The bar runs 2 happy hours, from 8pm - 10pm and 2am - 3am.

The newly re-opened Super Girl on Soi Diamond has introduced a second Happy Hour from 1am to 2:30am. Draft beer is then 59 Baht, the same in both Happy Hours. There will be an Opening Party on 2nd May.

Club Electric Blue in Bangkok also has cheap drinks with draught beer at 45B all time (started from February). This is the cheapest drink in Bangkok GoGos. It will be interesting to see if the drinks price policy in Pattaya. The bar on Soi 15 is having an opening party on 1st May.

Hi! Boss, the long running ladyboy bar at the centre of Soi 6 is now up for sale. It has been diverting the beachward pedestrian stream from the left to the right side of the soi for as long as I can remember.

Meanwhile Soi 6 Corner Bar at the 2nd Rd end of the soi has now been totally demolished. it is now just an empty plot of land.
