Mobile phone nicking seems endemic in Pattaya

Help cut down the theft of mobile 'phones:

key in *#06#
write down the unique 15 digit code of your mobile.
If it gets stolen ask your provider to de-activate this code. It will become useless and unsaleable even with a new simcard.

I also have a label stuck to my mobile that says "useless if stolen" in English and Thai.
